Talent Search Team: Sports Ministry constitutes Sports Advisory Committee, Paes-Mary Kom and Saina also included
This committee will also monitor the performance of the players. Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse will be the vice-chairperson of the committee. The committee will also address the grievances of the players.
Apart from finding and polishing new talents, the Sports Ministry has constituted a 17-member Sports Advisory Committee for transparency in selection. This committee, headed by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, also includes Olympic medalists Leander Paes, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom.
This committee will also monitor the performance of the players. Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse will be the vice-chairperson of the committee. The committee will also address the grievances of the players. Other members of the committee include Shiny Abraham, Zafar Iqbal, Heena Sidhu.
A panel of sports experts has also been formed to assist the committee. It includes players and coaches like Rani Rampal, Vijender Singh, Alka Tomar, Hansa Sharma, DK Rathore, Dola Banerjee, Shiv Singh.
